Marion Parks papers, 1909-1940 (bulk 1926-1940).

The collection includes typescripts of Parks' historical writings, numerous vintage pamphlets and brochures mostly from the 1930s, correspondence dating from around the 1920s to the 1940s, and 197 photographs taken by Parks probably in the late 1920s and early 1930s of parades, historical pageants and other events in and around Los Angeles.

Marion Parks, a talented and resourceful personality in Los Angeles in the early 20th century, described herself as "a California historian."
